Before Christmas, I took a few hours out one weekday afternoon to head over to Phipps to see the Winter Flower Show. I took my new camera along.
The sights were gorgeous, as always. There were lots of Christmas trees, figures from the Nutcracker, sleighs full of presents, and rooms of model railroads. As twilight came in, the gorgeous Chihuly star in the desert room is especially affecting.
The show included a wide variety of flowers, especially poinsettias and Christmas lilies.
And, of course, there were gorgeous Christmas ornaments.
Turns out photographing Phipps well is pretty hard work, and I was very disappointed with my first trip there, but I imagine I'll get the hang of the various lenses over time!
I meant to post this before Christmas but ran out of time. Hope those of you celebrating it had a wonderful one!
